Janusz Szydłowski - voice talent

Janusz Szydłowski, born in 1951, is a legendary radio announcer and film voice artist. A physics graduate of the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, he started his radio career at a student broadcasting station. From 1976 to 2007 he was a Polish Radio announcer, having ended up there almost by accident while looking for work as a sound engineer. Over time he combined that role with film voice-over work, starting with the film "Judge Fayard, Called the Sheriff". His voice can be heard in hundreds of productions. He also worked with the "Kontakt" festival in Toruń, reading foreign theatres' dialogue live. For his work he received numerous awards, including the "Great Weight Award" and the "Golden Microphone" in 2019 for his outstanding contribution to the development of Polish Radio. Szydłowski is also a member of the Polish Voice Artists' Association and the board of the Trade Union of Polish Radio Announcers and Voice Artists.
