The price of a voice-over recording depends on many factors. The first is the purpose of the material, i.e. the so-called field of use. Different fields of use are characterised by different copyright rates for the recording. Accordingly, the cheapest are recordings for internal use, local radio and television, and the internet (for use on your own website or YouTube channel); higher prices apply to materials intended for national radio, paid online campaigns and thematic television, while the most expensive are recordings for national television.

The price of a voice-over recording also depends on the voice talent's rate. Different voice talents have different rates – usually the more recognisable and in-demand their voice is, the higher the cost of the recording.
