Krystyna Czubówna - voice talent

Krystyna Czubówna is a journalist and voice-over artist who has been associated with radio and television for over forty years.

She earned her journalistic stripes on the cult programmes of the 1970s, "Sygnały Dnia" and "Lato z Radiem", and later worked in the news desk and the Radio News Agency. She was also a Polish Radio announcer, associated mainly with Programme Three. As a voice artist she worked on radio dramas and current-affairs and music programmes. Between 1991 and 2002 she presented the news programme Panorama on TVP2.

For over a decade Krystyna Czubówna has worked exclusively as a reader. At promotional events, libraries and festivals devoted to the culture of the Polish language, she presents excerpts from books. She records audiobooks and has taken part in the production of many films, both as narrator and in supporting roles. She also collaborates with theatres.

She can often be heard, and less often seen, in advertising.

Her popularity is confirmed by the awards she has won: four Telekamera awards, three Wiktor awards, the "Golden Laurel" of Przekrój, the title of Master of the Polish Language (awarded in its first edition) and many others. In addition, by decree of President Aleksander Kwaśniewski of 2 November 1999, she received the Knight's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta.
